Last weekend on Sunday, 5th September 2010, we orgainised our fist Jiaozi Eating Contest to promote the traditional food related to the Chinese culture that brought to Malaysia by our forefathers from Mainland China. After our initial try at organizing this type of competition, we hope that we would be able to carry this event as an annual event and have more participation from the general public and from our loyal customer base.

The Jiaozi Eating Contest  was the beginning of a series of activities to promote the preservation of Chinese Heritage and Culture in terms of food. In conjunction with the series of activities and challenged that have been planned and are in the pipe line, Young Heart Restaurant is offering a WHOPPING 30% discount on all our JiaoZis for the whole month of September 2010. This coming 5th of September, Young Heart Restaurant will be organising a “Speed Jiaozi Eating Contest” at its restaurant premises. The event would be co-organised with Foodmice.com. The main objective is to promote the Chinese traditional food- Jiaozi (饺子) a.k.a dumplings.
